Animal Emergency Center of Sandy Springs is now hiring for a full-time Veterinary Assistant/Technician to join our team!
Our focus is on being a place of comfort for our clients and pets, in sickness and in health. You will have an open door for growth opportunities ranging from becoming a veterinary technician, specialty medicine, and future management positions!
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Caring for our animals.
• Cleaning, laundry and basic clinic up keep.
• Patient handling and restraint.
• Medication administration & filling prescriptions.
• Performing diagnostics and testing.
• Client communication and education.
• Assisting other teammates as needed.
• Admitting and discharging patients.
• Tackling projects as assigned (with a smile, as always!)

Skills Knowledge and Expertise

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred have at least 1 year of veterinary medicine experience.
• Must be a bright, friendly, and effective communicator in order to communicate with clients, visitors, veterinarians, and other hospital staff. (It's okay if you talk to animals, too!)
• Must be able to sit, stand, walk, and move freely for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 50 squirming pounds.
• Must be able to work in a veterinary environment with exposure to infection or contagious diseases.
