IT Collaboration Engineer

The Collaboration Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing the enhancement of the User Experience using the Microsoft 365 platform as the core. The Collaboration Engineer will work closely with the business stakeholders, Cyber Security and Infrastructure teams, and vendors to ensure the optimal performance, security, and compliance of the Microsoft 365 environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
• Design, implementation, and full-stack lifecycle support covering all aspects of Collaboration Products & Services (M365, FreshService, voice systems, etc).
• Leading the development of a scalable architecture that supports the organization’s strategic roadmap.
• Establish best practices and standards for the full collaboration ecosystem. 
• Leading end-to-end implementations plus engaging as solution architect simultaneously with other projects that are in progress.
• Evaluate and improve workflows in the ITSM application (FreshService), identifying opportunities for automation and efficiency improvement. 
• Transform conference room technology into seamless and reliable spaces. 
• Evaluate and streamline cloud-based productivity applications to optimize workflows and user experience.
• Design and implement workflows for seamless integration of productivity tools, fostering a unified and intuitive work environment.
• Enhance identity experiences to simplify access and ensure secure and seamless integration of tools.
• Champion the migration of on-premises file shares to SharePoint or Teams, adhering to best practices for optimal organization and accessibility.
• Develop clear and standardized communication practices for effective and streamlined information sharing.
• Continuously improve standards and processes, seeking out innovative solutions for a simplified and integrated environment.
• Evaluate and recommend the right solutions to achieve a unified and user-friendly experience.
• Develop clear end-user training materials and guides to facilitate the adoption of new tools and standards.
• Embrace a user-centric approach, ensuring all solutions and processes are designed for a seamless and intuitive experience.

The Ideal Candidate will have the Following Qualifications:


Education & Experience:
• 5 years of experience in Microsoft 365 architecture, design, and implementation.
• Expert knowledge of Microsoft 365 products and services, such as Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, Power Platform, etc.
• 2 years of experience programming including shell scripting (PowerShell)
• Experience in enterprise Design and implement unified communications and collaboration solutions using Microsoft 365 products and services, such as Teams, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, and Power Platform
• Collaborate with Cyber Security and vendors to integrate Microsoft 365 with other systems and applications.
• Experience in integration and interoperability of Microsoft 365 solutions with other cloud and on-premises systems and applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively both written and verbally to stakeholders and engineers.
• Ability to build effective cross-functional relationships in support of delivering enterprise-wide Mobility solutions.
• Ability to execute within a fast-paced agile process.
• Must have a bachelor’s degree in computer-related field preferred or equivalent years of experience.
• Flexibility to work with varying hours, including overtime, nights, and weekends with minimal notice as on a needed basis.
• Must be 18 years older.

Competencies & Skills:
• Certification in Microsoft 365, such as Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, etc.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
• Curious with a passion for learning.
• A user experience vision.
