Custom Express is growing, and we have three full-time Straight Truck Driver (non CDL) positions to fill. 1 year experience minimum, more experience a plus. Driver will be responsible for completing daily drop off and pick-ups at businesses, hospitals and residential. All daytime routes in southeastern Wisconsin. Starting pay $18/Hour with more pay for more experienced drivers. Review after 60 days for increase.

Job Description

• Required to pass screening to receive SIDA badge. Clean driving record past 3 years. No criminal record in past 10 years.
  
• Safely enter and exit straight truck several times a day. Sit for extended periods of time.
  
• Perform pre trip vehicle inspections for safe operation required under section 396.13 of the Federal Motor Carriers Safety Regulations
  
• Ability to operate pallet jack and liftgate safety.
  
• Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes and weights (up to 50 pounds frequently and greater than 75 pounds occasionally)
  
• Operate straight truck in all types of weather, while safely transporting non-hazardous materials and safely walk, reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties.
  
• Working knowledge of GPS and hand-held phone app. Occasionally will need to read paper maps
  
• Manage daily assignments through phone app and complete proper paperwork with legible writing skills
  
• Work 8-12 hour days Monday through Friday with some on call rotation weekends
  
• Maintain clean driving record
  
• Must be dressed in company provided uniforms
  
• Provide service excellence to customers
  
• Ability to communicate with dispatch and customers in an efficient and professional manner
  
• Prompt, daily attendance at assigned work locations
  
• Perform other duties as assigned
  
• Must be 25 years of age or older

Experience:

• professional truck driving: 1 year (Preferred)
