Looking for motivated Medical Assistant (MA)/Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) that wants to work on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii. We offer a unique model of concierge medicine that provides both house/hotel calls and office visits in our urgent care wellness center. As an MA/PCC you'll be a valuable part of our team in a community of evolving and innovative medical care.

You will support providers, nurses, and patients through a variety of tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. The target is to complete all activities accurately, with high quality, and in a timely manner.

Responsibilities

• Take and assess vitals
• Check with patients and type up patients charts
• Assist during medical examinations
• Book and schedule patient appointments through the phone line and website booking portal
• Perform new patient intake.
• Triage same-day appointments to providers based on skills needed
• Use EMR to keep track of patient information.
• Fill out patients’ laboratory forms.
• Communicate with different laboratories to schedule and organize various labs and tests.
• Monitor and review patient schedules for next-day appointments. Assign appointments to providers based on skills needed.

• Organize, keep stock of office and medical supplies
• Perform clerical duties such as making copies, faxing documents, and routing calls.
• Identify and resolve minor patient billing complaints.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of supplies and office

Skills

• Preferred working experience in a medical environment
• Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures
• Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
• Social perceptiveness and service-oriented
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and planning skills

Applicants will be required to have their own transportation.

Compensation will be based on experience and start between $18 and $22 per hour.
