About the Role

The Maintenance Technician Manager is a member of the Cinema Support Center (CSC) Corporate Team and works closely with Theatre Management to support the daily operations on site. This role is responsible for facilities maintenance, managing materials and supplies, and supporting general property maintenance at the local (East) theatre locations.

In this role, you can expect to:

  • Perform maintenance and repair for the following areas: food service equipment, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, structural finishes, recliner repair and other components and systems in theatres
  • Receive repair requests from Theatre Managers and respond accordingly
  • Ensure unsafe conditions are properly repaired and reported to the Director of Experience
  • Keep all equipment and tools organized, secure, and in safe working condition
  • Coordinate with contracted services for maintenance and repair as necessary
  • Use various documentation to effectively and efficiently complete assigned tasks, (i.e., maintenance and repair procedures, project specifications, work orders, etc.)
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repair for all applicable systems and equipment
  • Coordinate with other departments to support program initiatives within the organization as required (special events, etc.)
  • Monitor, report, maintain, and order inventory of parts and supplies for maintenance / repair jobs
  • Perform work in a manner that uses the most cost-effective method and provide suggestions for improving process and/or material efficiencies

Education, Skills, and Experience


  • Minimum of 2 to 3 years of related facilities maintenance experience is required
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required
  • Technical Certification(s) is preferred
  • General facilities maintenance knowledge and skills, which may include electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, carpentry, painting, etc.
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule that meets the needs of the theatres (early or late, when theatres not operating)
  • Ability to communicate effectively, at all levels, through written and verbal methods
  • Possess problem solving abilities and be able to innovatively address issues within a team environment
  • Ability to build and maintain a positive working relationship with all staff, guests and vendors
  • Working knowledge of plumbing, mechanical and fire protection systems, electrical distribution principles and practices
  • Basic understanding and ability to work on computer programs for work orders, communication, logs, etc.
  •  Knowledge of preventive maintenance programs, building automation systems, work processing systems, etc.
  • Must be able to select and use proper tools, equipment and machinery, including hand tools, power tools, metalworking tools, plumbing tools, drills, saws, shop measuring instruments and diagnostic tools, such as meters, gauges and recorders
  • Must be self-motivated with strong attention to detail
  • Must be able to lift up to 20 lbs. on a frequent basis and up to 80 lbs. on an occasional basis
  • Must be able to walk, stand, stoop, bend kneel, reach and stretch, for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to effectively communicate verbal and/or written with different management levels
  • Must be able to work in temperature and non-temperature-controlled environments (inside and outside)
  • Must be able to work at heights: Knowledge of or certified in lift and ladder compliance
  • Must be skilled in the proper and safe use of hand and power tools and possess strong fine motor skills
  • Must be able to navigate and access all areas of theatre/property, which includes roofs, basements, small spaces, etc.
  • Must be able to travel distances between theatres and have a valid driver’s license (background check required for company vehicle)
