Description
SUMMARY
As a Hair Technician, you will be responsible for providing exceptional Blow outs and male Cuts our members. Provide beauty services, such as shampooing, cutting, coloring, and styling hair, and massaging and treating scalp. May also apply makeup, dress wigs, perform hair removal, and provide nail and skin care services. The hair stylist advises both front desk and member of any upgrades prior to completion of services.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide professional hair styling services to members/guests, including blowouts, and men's cuts.
• Offer quality services.
• Ability to explain various treatments/services to members/guests.
• Generate product sales and future appointment bookings.
• Must have enthusiasm and possess excellent customer skills and work ethics.
• Always provide courteous guest service to all members/guests in an energetic, enthusiastic, motivational, and professional demeanor.
• Must be able to initiate and engage in conversations in a professional and friendly manner.
• Must be able to work well with others and as a team.
• Must be able to work well under pressure.
• Maintain a clean and well-organized workstation and able to handle a variety of duties.
• Assist in other areas of the spa during down time.
• Refrain from discussing company or personal business with guests or members.
• Must possess a genuine desire to make a positive impact on the well-being of our members/guests.
• Clean work area and work tools
• Provide spa management with product needs at the end of month.
• Able to sell retail items available in salon.
• Perform makeup application services for special occasions or events.
• Provide exceptional customer service and ensure member/guest satisfaction.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation.
• Assist with retail sales of hair care products which receive a 10% commission.
• Upsell additional services and treatments to members/guests.
• Assess hair and scalp health and recommend treatments and products.
• Consult with members/guests and advise hairstyle and hair treatment options.
• Cut and style hair.
• Use chemical solutions, hair dyes and hot styling tools.
• Shaving, trimming, and shaping members/guests' beards and mustaches.
• Washing and conditioning clients' hair.

Education and Work Experience Requirements

• Current Florida State Cosmetology License
• A minimum of 1 year experience in an upscale salon, country club, hotel, or spa setting.
• Current CPR certification preferred.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

• Able to lift 25lbs.
• Able to stand for a long period of time (up to average 8-hour shifts)
• Frequent bending, pushing, piling, and kneeling.
• Frequent walking
• Must be able to sit, stand, crouch, stoop and knell when assisting Members with their needs.

Qualifications
Valid cosmetology or Hair Technician license with minimum 1 year experience with Blowouts and Haircuts. Excellent communication and customer service skills.
