People's Health Center is always looking to hire Security Officers. In addition to the duties listed, all opportunities require a passion to serve the community.
Security Officer is responsible for maintaining peace, handling incidents and taking appropriate action. Prepares incident reports, ensures patient and employee safety. Performs regular tours, spot checks, and regular examinations of the parking lots.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Establishes a protective and preventive security environment. Escorts personnel, patients, and visitors entering and exiting the facility. Make regular spot checks in the parking lots to ensure safety of patients, visitors, staff, and property. Inquires and investigates matters pertaining to wrongful acts of individuals affecting the center. Wears designated uniform and appropriate credentials while on duty.
High school graduate or GED equivalent required. Knowledge of security systems, procedures, and enforcement codes. Previous experience with law enforcement or security contract agency preferred. Able to control volatile situations verbally, minimizing or totally avoiding the need for physical contact. Must have a current license or ability to obtain a security license.
