Program Overview :
Join the StaRN Residency Program at our esteemed medical center. This unique year-long residency offers new graduate RNs the chance to gain acute care nursing experience through an intensive internship.
Training Structure :
Part 1: StaRN Training (5-8 Weeks) :

• Instructor-led classroom training.
• Comprehensive simulation with debriefs.
• Necessary certifications.
• Charting systems training.
• Typical schedule: Monday-Friday, 40 hours/week.

Part 2: StaRN Clinical Preceptorship (7-8 Weeks) :

• On-site hospital training.
• One-on-one preceptor guidance.
• Development meetings with preceptor and director.
• Typical schedule: Three 12-hour shifts/week.

Part 3: HCA Residency Program (Remainder of 1st Year) :

• Transition to full-time roles post-StaRN Program.
• Monthly interactions with a mentor.
• Complete an evidence-based capstone project.

Requirements :

• Current North Carolina RN license or ability to obtain.
• Graduated from an accredited nursing school within the past year.
• Two-year, full-time commitment to the hospital.
• Strong communication skills and self-motivation.
• Full attendance during the StaRN Training.

• Sign-on bonus requires a two-year commitment.
• Pay during training: Med Surg - $28/hr, Critical Care - $33/hr.
• Relocation bonus for candidates living more than 75 miles from the facility.
• Upcoming Cohort Start Dates for 2023: July 10 & 17, August 7, September 4, October 2 & 9.
