Job Title: HVAC Technician

Location: Freeport, NY

Type: Permanent

Pay Rate: $80,000 to $83,200 per annum

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, service, and repair commercial HVAC units, utilizing the appropriate tools and test instruments.
• Recommend additional repairs as necessary by entering work orders and parts requirements into the tablet/system.
• Perform routine maintenance, including filter changes and belt adjustments, and evaluate units to ensure proper functioning.
• Submit documentation in a timely manner, including time sheets.
• Be available to work overtime, on-call (with advance notice), and weekends as required.
• Complete other responsibilities as assigned.
• Demonstrate mechanical aptitude and a willingness to learn new tasks while being a dependable team player.
• Work primarily within the five boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx, and Queens) with occasional assignments in Long Island (as far east as Riverhead) and Westchester.
• Adhere to safety guidelines at all times, including ladder safety.

Job Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial HVAC/R service and maintenance.
• A valid driver's license and a clean driving record/acceptable MVR.
• Strong organizational, customer service, and time management skills.
• Technical HVAC training is advantageous.
• EPA/Universal Certification is required.
• A New York City Burner's Permit is a plus but must be obtained during employment.
• OSHA Certification (#10, 30, etc.) is a plus but must be obtained during employment.
• Possession of personal hand tools.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 75 lbs. and climb ladders.
• Availability to work regular weekday hours, with flexibility for overtime, weekend schedules, some holidays, occasional overnight shifts, and an on-call schedule.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interaction with customers and co-workers.
