The Grinding Operator position will require extended travel and work throughout the Midwest (e.g. Oklahoma, Kansas, Arkansas, Nebraska). · $22.50-$26.50/hour· Daily overtime after 8 hours· Per Diem BenefitsPrimary Function:The Grinding Operator is to perform daily grinding operations for our clients to meet the projects specifications. Communicate with our clients on revenue hours and/or surface area ground daily for payment. Supervision of maintenance and repairs of equipment assigned by MPG General Manager. Reports to MPG General Manager

 
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Operating equipment in a safe and efficient manner according to company policy, as well as manufacturer’s guidelines.
• Performing daily maintenance & safety checks of assigned grinding flee, i.e., Grinder, Water Truck and Trailer
• Cleaning equipment as required.
• Ensuring that equipment is secured at the end of the shift.
• Must foster harmonious interactions and relationships and maintain basic standards of civility in the workplace.
• Upholds acceptable attendance.
• Is a productive team member that supports the team by going and assisting where needed.

• Perform additional assignments per MPG General Manager's direction.

 Working Conditions

• Ascend/descend ladder 8-10 feet to access equipment operating station.
• Keep equipment moving along specified path to ensure equipment is processing material to required specifications.
• Remove excess built up material at the end of shift using a scrapper and shovel, periodically the operator may need to use jack or chipping hammers.
• May perform other duties as assigned by Foreman or Division Manager.

Required Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to complete a pre-employment drug screen with a “Negative” result.
• Must be able to complete a post-offer physical with a “Capable” result.
