Broad Function:
The purpose of this position is to assist teaching and administrative staff by performing duties associated with the classroom instruction, behavioral intervention for students and clerical functions.
Paraprofessional Hours: 8:45am-3:15pm
Responsibilities and Duties:
Provide support to SLAMS students under the supervision of the SLAMS Coordinator
Effectively communicate with staff regarding student progress
Utilize safe & appropriate procedures when working with students
Maintain student confidentiality
Assist in preparing student materials as instructed
Assist with supervision of student arrival and dismissal
Qualifications and Experience:
Current experience working with students demonstrating a range of academic and social learning needs
Applicants must be committed to working the entire SLAMS session.
Salary & Compensation:
Per Middletown Federation of Paraprofessionals Local #3161 Contract
