Overview of the role :
As an Assistant Superintendent, you'll play a pivotal role in bringing TI projects to life. With mentoring and guidance from the General Superintendent, you'll be collaborating with all those involved to ensure the highest standards of safety and quality. You'll have the opportunity to lead and innovate every step of the way. Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning: Review plans and specifications, develop comprehensive job plans, and manage project schedules to ensure timely and efficient completion.
Leadership & Coordination: Interact with architects, owners, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve issues, coordinate construction activities, and drive project progress.
Team Management: Oversee field personnel, manage crew assignments, and provide guidance to ensure optimal performance and adherence to project requirements.
Problem Solving: Utilize strong problem-solving skills to address construction challenges, improve methods, and maintain project integrity.
Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety, ensuring adherence to all safety policies, practices, and procedures, while maintaining compliance with building codes and quality standards.
Continuous Improvement: Collaborate with General Superintendent and project teams to identify opportunities for process optimization, cost-saving measures, and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Prior field experience in Interior Construction.
Demonstrated knowledge of construction processes, building codes, and blueprints.
Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to proactively manage personnel issues and drive team performance.
Craft skills in electrical, carpentry, concrete and other building trades.
