THE JOB:

It is the responsibility of the Utility Technician to perform predictive maintenance and reactive repairs, including installation work on all mechanical, electrical, plumbing equipment and systems within the plant and building. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as department and company policies, practices, and procedures to ensure overall facility integrity.

STARTING PAY: $35.45 per hour

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

* Accurately maintain records of labor time, parts used, and work accomplished

* Maintain and repair of HVAC, minor electrical, mechanical, minor plumbing, chillers, refrigeration, boilers and associated equipment

* Cleans HVAC&R coils and duct work as necessary

* Inspects and calibrate HVAC&R systems as needed

* Inspects and measures building systems to determine proper air flow

* Performs of all corrective and preventive maintenance duties related to HVAC systems.

* Keep all work areas, HVAC storage, and equipment clean, orderly and free of all debris

* Operate equipment used in the maintenance of conventions facilities such as forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts and other maintenance equipment.

* Working knowledge of control programs and software including but not limited to the facility lighting control system, building management control system and ice plant refrigeration system

* Per EPA regulations, maintain refrigerant log to include the following: ,employee name, date, reason for loss or gain of refrigerant, equipment serviced, corrective action taken and type and amount of refrigerant

* Maintain a quarterly inventory of trade equipment and supplies as required by MCCA

* Assist Director of Arena Operations with capital projects as needed

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

* Works well in a team environment

* Can handle multiple tasks at one time

* Has previous experience in HVAC and/or electrical

* Working knowledge of diagnostic tools such as Amp Meters, Voltmeters, compound gauges, etc.

* Adapts well to changing situations and can efficiently handle a fast-paced work environment

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

* 2 Years of Prior Relevant Experience

* Experience in general maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC or related building systems

* Specialized training in the building maintenance of HVAC or related building systems
