About the Opportunity:
? Job Title: Safety and Compliance Specialist
? Pay: $50,000 Annualized
? Location: Eagan, MN
? Schedule: 1st Shift Mon-Fri 7AM-3:30PM or 8AM-4:30PM with optional O/T.
Daily functions:
- Support business unit remote/field operations through site audits/investigations, training, and development of site-specific safety objectives and action plans.
- Support and manage training programs, communications to new hires, post-accident, and annual refreshers.
- Partner in the development and execution to adhere to applicable federal compliance requirements.
- Interpret policies, procedures, guidelines, legal and regulatory statutes.
- Collaborate with the General Manager and other key business employees to evaluate high risk areas and program non-compliance.
- Maintain reporting of safety compliance scorecards.
- Coordinate vendor management of applicable systems and programs.
- Contribute to process improvements.
- Review and maintain program policies, procedures, process flows and other similar responsibilities while serving as a compliance resource.
Desired qualifications:
- Associate degree or equivalent work experience.
- 2-4 years of relevant transportation safety and compliance work experience.
- Ability to read, interpret, and apply state and federal regulations, standards, and requirements.
- Demonstrated attention to detail, prioritization, critical thinking, problem analysis and resolution skills.
- Ability to collaborate on cross functional teams, learn and understand systems and software and maintain highly confidential information.
- Reliability to commute to Eagan every day.
