Traveling Maintenance Technician Job Profile As a Traveling Maintenance Technician, you will assist the Maintenance Department with maintaining and restoring the community's equipment, structure, operating systems, grounds, while you take pride in providing friendly and passionate services for our residents. Your primary responsibilities will be:
Performing walkthrough of facilities, addressing any visual repairs, and assisting with apartment make ready process.
Filling in as a Maintenance Director at communities
Traveling at least 70% of the time
Ensuring prompt skilled attention to maintenance problems and assigned service requests
Assisting in maintaining expenses for parts and reviewing all costs with VP Asset Management before making purchases
Assisting with coordinating preventative maintenance based on specific schedule
Respond to on-call emergencies
Providing amazing customer service daily with a service-minded demeanor
Performing other duties as assigned by VP Asset Management
Traveling Maintenance Technician Job Requirements
At least 1 year of experience as Maintenance Technician or Tradesperson, preferably in a senior living capacity or as an apartment maintenance assistant
Experience with sheetrock repair and painting
Broad knowledge of general maintenance: HVAC, plumbing, and carpentry
Ability to lift a maximum of 50 lbs
Capability of using various chemicals safely
Ability to move quickly, safely, and remain calm in case of an emergency
Ability to stand for extended periods of time
