Paralegal - Advanced

Whippany, NY (hybrid: 3 days per week in office)


Client is seeking an experienced Paralegal - Advanced to join the legal team in Whippany, NY. This role offers a dynamic opportunity to work closely with our Legal Affairs department and support our Investments attorneys.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate corporate transactions, including due diligence and post-closing matters.
• Assist in reviewing and revising non-disclosure agreements.
• Prepare for audits and business reporting.
• Manage corporate entity governance and maintenance.
• Conduct legal research and provide citations.
• Support logistics for closings and portfolio management.
• Respond to requests from various stakeholders.
• Foster strategic knowledge sharing, process analysis, and continuous improvement.
• Coach junior paralegals in their professional development.

Requirements:

• 5-10 years of paralegal experience, preferably in corporate law/real estate/finance.
• Proficiency in legal research and analysis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ethical judgment and ability to handle confidential information.
• Collaboration skills in virtual and on-site environments.
• High proficiency in Microsoft 365.
• Familiarity with legal technologies such as Litera, Westlaw, LexisNexis, iManage, eDocs, GEMS, Backshop, Boardvantage, Salesforce, Intralinks is a plus.
• Paralegal certificate or college degree preferred.
• Notary Public commission preferred or willingness to obtain.
