Security Officer
Part time - 64 hours biweekly
Working Sunday, Monday, Thursday, and Friday nights 11:30PM - 8AM
Provides a safe and secure environment for employees, patients, visitors, physicians and property, preventing thefts, assaults, injuries, and acts of vandalism, along with the control and enforcement of parking and traffic regulations.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education - Graduation from high school or the equivalent.
Experience - Minimum six months prior experience in security preferred.
Licensure/Certification - International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (IAHSS) Basic Certification preferred. BLS (CPR) in compliance with policy required.
For use of Meritus Vehicles: Valid Driver’s License, A driving record as required by law for vehicle expected to operate. No record of moving violations in the past three years is preferred. Certified copy of driving record is required to be provided by team member annually on date of birth. Acknowledgement with signature to “Attestation A” of Meritus Vehicle Management Use and Control policy.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities - Some knowledge of Security/Law Enforcement practices, good verbal/written skills and abillity to communicate and deal effectively with staff, patients, visitors and physicians.
