Overview: Analytics & Report Writing - Clarity Report Developer (Healthcare)

Hybrid: Mostly remote except during training and onsite as needed.

The Reporting Analyst will assist in the design, implementation and maintenance of databases and software sytems that produce reports which utilize clarity, Epic workbench and Mercy Insight. Prepares system utilization reports and creates ad hoc reports as needed. Interfaces with all patient care departments. Keeps a log of all reports created for departments needed, as well as detail templates of reports so that when Epic upgrades are made these can be tested. The reporting Analyst will work closely with Regional Application Coordinator, Clinical Informatics department, Quality department and clinicians. Reporting analyst must have a solid working knowledge of clinical processes within the hospital and the ambulatory settings and be an effective liaison between the clinical departments and the report writers. The ideal candidate must exhibit a willingness to learn basic system build decisions and workflows that affect the meaning of data. Excellent interpersonal abilities and solid time management skills are required.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Some Experience writing reports in EHR (Prefer EPIC)
  • Required Education: Must have Bachelor's degree in healthcare, Business or related field required
  • Other: Previous healthcare data analysis preferred.
  • Licensure: Clarity Certification required in a Clinical application
  • Experience with relational databases - (designing, building, reporting). Previous Clarity and Crystal Report , and Access database writing a plus.
  • Previous experience in report writing.
  • Experience working in healthcare.
  • Must have excellent computer skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office applications; including Access and Excel.
  • Must have excellent written, oral and human relations skills, attention to detail and follow through, and the ability to handle confidential information.
  • Must be able to work independently. Must have strong analytical, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Project Management skills preferred.
  • Healthcare experience preferred.
  • Prior experience with relational databases.
  • Oracle is the relational database of choice right now but may change and replace wit SQL Server and Azure.

  • The applications that we use are Epic, SAP Business Intelligence Suite, Power BI and Power BI Paginated Reports, PDF eXplode, Office.

  • Must obtain Clarity certification within 6 months of hire date.
