At MSS, an Elementary Academic Dean has a growth mindset and participates in rigorous professional development throughout the year, including collaborative planning sessions, whole and small group school-wide focused professional development, team analysis of performance data; training from: Relay , Responsive Classroom , Eureka Math , Wit and Wisdom , and Wilsons Fundations and other personalized opportunities to grow. Our Academic Deans provide job-embedded professional development for teachers to support and sustain effective teaching and learning through the integration of technology, resulting in improved student learning. They will assist teachers and participate directly in small group instruction to advance teachers/students literacy and math skills, provide feedback, and provide support.Note: The following duties are representative for this position.
