Job Summary

The Medpace Analytics team is growing rapidly and is focused on bringing our data to life and making it sing across the organization. We are in the business of making data accessible and insightful. 

We’re looking for a Data Visualization Engineer who will serve as a subject matter expert in the areas of design and development of data visualizations and dashboards. They will serve as experts in data and storytelling and will be on top of the latest Power BI features, focused on creating user-friendly and high-quality dashboards across the organization.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE – AND WHY WE NEED YOU! 

• Expert data visualization skills within Power BI (or other data visualization suite)
• Strong grasp of UI/UX principles and how they apply to reporting and analytic tools 

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions 
• Understanding of reporting and business intelligence best practices 
• General understanding of BI concepts (e.g., data governance, data lineage tools, data management, data modeling, data cleansing, data extraction and transformation (ELT/ETL), and data analysis) 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business/Computer Science or similar 

• 3 years of user centric design and UI/UX - either analytics/reporting or application focus 
• 3 years of experience with Microsoft BI Stack – or combination of relevant technologies 
• Good understanding of BI concepts, and the ability to articulate these concepts to technical and non-technical audiences 
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Scrum framework (preferred)
