Cake Stand Desserts and Baked Goods is Hiring a Baker/ Pastry Assistant Near Boca Raton, FL
Job Description
* A minimum of 1 year experience in baking and cake decorating
* Must be artistic and creative, with a focus on details
* Must be able to do written scripts on cakes
* Must be available to work early morning shifts (5am to 1pm; 7am to 3pm), and on weekends. Work week will be 32 - 40 hours.
* Must be able to read and write English
* Must have reliable transportation
Duties include, but are not limited to:
* Proofing, baking and decorating morning pastries (e.g. croissants, muffins, scones, quick breads)
* Production of individual desserts
* Baking, layering and decorating cakes in a timely manner for orders as well as the display case
* Assist bakery staff with production of all standard bakery items
* Must be able to wash dishes, pans etc, and keep the kitchen and work area clean at all times (sweeping, mopping, wiping down counters etc).
* Kitchen area must be left clean, with all counters wiped down, floors swept and mopped, and all items stored at the end of the shift.
* Ensure display cases are always fully stocked with baked goods (pastries, cookies, cakes, desserts, tarts cake pops, cupcakes, etc)
* Must be able to lift bags up to 50 pounds
* Salary will commensurate with experience
