We are currently looking for a full-time Converting Assistant to support production at our Lenexa plant. Essential to TC Transcontinental operations, this positionis responsible for removing pouches from the machine and packaging them in the appropriate boxes according to specification, adjusting machine settings as needed, and loading and unloading raw materials from the machine.

• 10 Hour Shift 9pm-7am

When your actions lead to success

• Prepare boxes for packaging, print and label boxes, collect finished pouches/bags and put them in boxes according to specifications.
• Update the computer program with downtime and uptime
• Assist operator with machine preventative maintenance programs and make minor repairs as needed if a problem is identified
• Ensure bag/pouch quality meet required specifications and perform rework as necessary
• Follow safety and quality guidelines as trained
• Communicates and interacts effectively with other departments

• Must have the ability to read a tape measure
• Ability to read and write
• Production experience
• Basic computer skills

Additional details

• Inks and solvents can create strong odor in the plant
• Frequent standing, walking, sitting, bending, stooping, and twisting
• Ability to exert 25 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
• Manufacturing environment requiring appropriate PPE
• Overtime may be required
