Job Description:

McDaniel College Graduate and Professional Studies invites applications for a full-time, tenure track faculty/academic fieldwork coordinator for a new Master of Science in Occupational Therapy Program. The position will begin January 2025. The position will remain open until filled.

The Faculty/Academic Fieldwork Coordinator (AFWC) position is dedicated to the development, management and mentoring of fieldwork placements for clinical education. The AFWC is responsible for overseeing, monitoring, and evaluating Level 1 and Level 2 fieldwork experiences for students in the Master of Science in Occupational Therapy program; ensuring compliance with ACOTE fieldwork requirements; collaborating with program faculty to integrate fieldwork experiences into the overall program of study; and working with institutional staff to manage policies, procedures and affiliation agreements that comply with legal requirements. This faculty position comprises a combination of teaching, professional scholarship and engagement in service to the college, profession and/or community.

Requirements:

A master's or doctoral degree in occupational therapy. Doctoral degree preferred.

Current certification by the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy.

Current license or eligible for license to practice in the state of Maryland.

Valid Driver's license and proof of automobile insurance.

Two (2) years minimal of clinical practice experience as an occupational therapist.

Full or part-time teaching experience in occupational therapy education highly desired.

Candidates must comply with all related federal, state, and local regulatory guidelines including, but not limited to, FERPA and Title IX.
