Since 1984, The Refuge Utah (formerly known as The Center for Women and Children in Crisis) has made it our mission to empower survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence and to increase emotional and physical safety through advocacy, education, and trauma-informed services. Position Purpose and Responsibilities:

The Community Outreach Coordinator position will play a unique role within The Refuge Utah, by partnering with key stakeholders and members of the community to raise awareness of the agency and the services and offerings it provides to the community.

● Direct branding efforts to ensure consistency throughout all marketing materials, including partnership & sponsorship relations

● Arrange and execute tabling events throughout Utah County to promote and educate the members of the community on the mission and services provided by The Refuge Utah

● Attend and assist with major fundraising and various program events as needed

● Utilize branding materials to develop compelling marketing materials, including digital and printed materials such as brochures, posters, and banners

● Identify communication needs (such as fact sheets, case studies, newsletter articles, or other documentation pertinent to the foundation) and develop them

● Develop and conduct marketing strategies that effectively communicate the mission and values of The Refuge Utah and maintain company social media pages and profiles

● Write and develop copy, and outline scheduling and rollout of said content

● Prepare reports by tracking program data, including audience numbers and demographics; assist in establishing protocols for data capture, evaluation, and impact

● Nurture professional and effective relationships with staff, board of directors, and the community at large

● Plan and oversee community engagement initiatives and projects through content creation and day-of event assistance

● Complete other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Position Qualifications:

● Bachelor’s degree in related field

● One-year prior work experience performing community outreach, working in the human services field, or for a nonprofit agency

● Experience managing multiple projects with an ability to meet critical deadlines and ensure high-quality results

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00 - $58,000.00 per year
