a Business Systems Analyst to join our team.

The Business Systems Analyst will operate as the primary contact for functional accounting system knowledge and troubleshooting. This role requires strong systems knowledge with an aptitude for accounting systems and emerging technologies. This position is a key resource in new system implementations and ongoing system enhancements. Some of our current systems and technologies include: Oracle database, Microsoft SQL, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleSoft HR, Payroll and Benefits, Oracle EPM, Lucernex and ReconNet.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate into system solutions.
  • Lead meetings among stakeholders to gain consensus on system requirements and/or issues. Establish standard methods to facilitate and document these discussions.
  • Analyze information critically to generate solutions aligned with stakeholders’ needs.
  • Assist in researching, developing, testing, and implementing system configuration required for changes in the company’s business.
  • Propose software configuration/modifications to adapt to changes in business requirements.
  • Identify efficiencies and implement automation to achieve company goals.
  • Function as liaison between functional users and technical team to bridge system language and understanding gaps.
  • Provide clarifications to the development and business teams when required.
  • Maintain knowledge surrounding system configuration including ERP (Financials, Human Resources, Payroll and Benefits) and various other accounting systems. Understand how various accounting systems interface with one another.
  • Perform testing activities related to ERP and accounting software to ensure new system functionality works as defined and system defects are corrected prior to implementation.
  • Develop detail plans to track progress. Report and escalate issues to management as needed.
  • Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Other duties and/or special projects as assigned in response to changing business conditions or requirements.

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, information systems or 3 years’ experience in a business analyst role.
  • Strong business acumen.

Required skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and planning skills with the ability to interact effectively across departments and with all levels in the organization.
  • Detail oriented and self-directed with the capability of managing multiple priorities.
  • Experience with supporting various ERP and accounting systems, including related configuration and maintenance required. Understanding of both relational and cube database structures required.
  • Experience with Power BI or other data visualization tools.
  • Understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle.
  • Strong project management skills.

The salary range for this position is $75,000 to $110,000 per year depending on experience. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, and alignment with market data.
