**Description**
The Business Analyst is responsible for a full range of activities which ensure the operational effectiveness and excellence of the Retail Integration business unit. The Business Analyst will design and document workflow and make appropriate recommendations that will positively impact operational effectiveness. The Business Analyst will be heavily involved in the Pricebook, fuel tech and general work for integration of retail sites for upcoming acquisitions.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: (not listed in any particular order)

2.1 Assist with data analysis and work associated with Pricebook coordination
2.2 Assist with fuel technical requirements of upcoming retail acquisitions for Parkland USA
2.3 Assist with general retail integration work
2.4 Coordinates the retail training with qualified third party vendors to ensure day to day issues are resolved, tracked and reported for trend analysis
2.5 Conduct research and analysis into acquisition data to ensure smooth integration into PDI
2.6 Works directly with appropriate personnel to understand project concept, objectives and approach.
2.7 Creates and maintains project schedules by developing project plans and specifications, estimating time requirements, establishing deadlines, monitoring milestone completion, tracking all phases of the project product/service lifecycle, providing timely reporting of issues that impact project progress, coordinating actions, and resolving conflicts. This includes documenting, prioritizing and tracking requests (changes, enhancements, etc.) and coordinating with the Integrations lead.
2.8 Conducts Project meetings.
a. Meets with project team(s) regularly to review project deliverables and deadlines.
b. Meets with appropriate personnel for periodic reviews of final projects.
2.9 Analyzes business activities and trends and compares analyses against the service standards and best practices.
2.10 Prepares routine reports (financial, quality, production, operational efficiency, etc.)
a. Analyzes trends and recommends adjustments.
2.11 Occasional travel by conventional means including aircraft, motor vehicle and the like to acquisition location within the United States.
2.12 Employee is expected to set priorities and meet deadlines. Employee is responsible for planning and carrying out assignments, resolving conflicts that arise, informing and coordinating with others as expected. Employee is accountable for insuring the technical accuracy of their work and maintaining good working relations, both internal and external to Parkland USA. Self-direction and motivation are also expected.
2.13 Communicate and enforce all safety and security issues. Report and process all employee and/or customer incidents or unsafe acts in accordance with Parklands policy and procedure.
2.14 Employee must demonstrate safe work and risk management practices. Must meet performance expectations. Must complete all duties as assigned.
SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:
Essential:
Advanced skills in Excel
Experience in retail, preferably convenience stores
Proficient verbal and written communication skills
Proficient skills in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word,, Power Point and Outlook
Strong mathematical aptitude
Strong organizational and time management skills
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Essential:
Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience
High level of motivation and ability to work hard
High level of focus on quality of work and attention to detail
Strong team orientation balanced with the ability to work autonomously on projects and initiatives
Preferred:
Business Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field
Experience working in the Retail, Oil and/or Gas field a plus
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
Essential:
Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time
Valid Driver's License
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Light Duty: Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and / or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Audio-Visual: Avg. vision, color discrimination, peripheral vision, depth perception, Avg. hearing
Specific Actions (in an eight hour day): 1-4 hours standing/walking, 6-8 hours sitting, occasional driving
Repetitive Motions: Simple grasping, fine manipulation, pushing & pulling, finger dexterity, foot movement
