Medix is Hiring a Medical Assistant Near Orange, CA
This position is with one of top rated Orthopedic Medical Groups in the Orange County area. It is a Contract-To-Hire position - this is a great way to get your foot in the door with one of the premiere health organizations in SoCal!
This opportunity will be in fast paced environment, so experienced candidates are required. Medix is looking for someone with at least two years of experience in either orthopedics or an urgent care setting.
We are looking at getting candidates started for this position immediately!
Clinic Days will include:
-Getting the system up for the doctor
-Rooming patients
-Pulling images (X-Rays and MRIs)
-Submitting work status (workers come experience would be a nice to have)
-Requesting authorizations
-Submitting information for physical therapy
-Sending prescriptions
-Taking incoming calls from patients
Non Clinic Days will include:
-Taking phone calls, reading emails, and going through faxes, working on disability forms
Requirements:
-At least 2 years of experience working as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting
-A history of working in a fast-paced environment as these doctors see no less than 40 patients/day (40-60 patients on average)
-Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures as well as experience with electronic health records EHR software Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively and professionally with patients and medical professionals
-Ability to multitask, prioritize and work independently as well as a part of a team
-Attention to detail and accuracy in recording vital signs and medical histories of patients
-High School Diploma or equivalent Responsibilities

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:30pm
