JOB SUMMARY
Provide a brief description as to the primary purpose of this job (no more than three to five sentences):
The Outside Sales Rep is responsible for generating pipe cleaning and inspection equipment sales, increasing revenue by negotiating with clients, generating leads, and qualifying prospects. The targeted customer base includes government agencies, local municipalities, and contractors in NJ/NY region. This role is responsible for offering the best possible customer experience, as well as providing the hands-on explanations of products.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
List essential job functions that comprise the job; describe in terms of actions (verbs) and desired outcomes in order of most important first:
§ Establish new accounts by organizing and planning daily work schedule to build on existing or potential sales in the assigned territory.
§ Study the type of sales outlet and adjust content of sales presentations
§ Make and submit orders by referring to product literature and price lists
§ Investigate problems; develop solutions and make recommendations to management in order to resolve customer complaints.
§ Contribute to team efforts in accomplishing organizational goals.
§ Provide operational and mechanical training for end users.
§ Provide accurate and on time quotes.
§ Provide walk arounds and demonstrations of production line utilization.

QUALIFICATIONS
List the minimum requirements to be considered for this position:
Education: HS diploma or equivalent, with higher education degree preferred
Experience: 3-5 years of outside sales experience or sales experience in a similar position
Certifications: none required
Willing to participate in training as required, with some potential overnight travel required for training
Must have a valid driver's license and a good driving record (CDL a plus)
Mechanical aptitude required
Must be highly motivated with a positive attitude
