Our client, a major utility company, is looking for some Accounting Clerks to support their team in Detroit, MI. 

This is a long-term contract position currently budgeted for a pay rate of $20.60/hour (benefits are available).

Selected candidates will work a hybrid schedule (3 days on site, 2 days remote). 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

• Performs data entry, batching and settlement functions which require knowledge of basic accounting (debits/credits)
• Assists in preparation of reports
• Answers internal customer inquiries
• Researches problems or complaints

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent 
• Basic accounting knowledge 
• Ability to perform financial calculations; intermediate knowledge of spreadsheet software packages (i.e., MS Excel or MS Access)
• Excellent communication skills, ability to perform under deadline pressure
