Position Overview:

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with a strong background in trust and safety to orchestrate efforts in the respectfulness and awareness problem domain. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing product strategies to reduce exposure to bad actors and increase trust perception among our user base. You will lead cross-functional teams in building innovative product solutions centered around education, nudges, and tooling to address safety concerns and promote positive interactions on the Tinder platform!

In this role, you will:

  • Strategy Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement a comprehensive strategy for improving respectfulness and awareness on the Tinder platform. 
  • Product Leadership: Own the end-to-end product lifecycle, from ideation to execution, for initiatives to enhance trust and safety. 
  • Problem Domain Expertise: Deeply understand the respectfulness and awareness problem domain, staying informed about industry trends, user feedback, and driven insights. 
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, data science, and other team members to prioritize and deliver impactful product features. 
  • User Research: Conduct user research, surveys, and usability studies to gain insights into user behaviors and preferences related to trust and safety. 
  • Performance Tracking: Establish key performance indicators and metrics to measure the effectiveness of trust and safety initiatives and regularly analyze data to advise product decisions. 
  • Risk Mitigation: Identify potential risks and vulnerabilities related to respectfulness and awareness, and develop proactive measures to mitigate these risks. 
  • Communication and Advocacy: Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress to internal team members, and advocate for trust and safety considerations across the organization.
You’ll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or an equivalent; MBA or advanced degree preferred. 
  • 5 years of experience in product management, focusing on trust and safety, integrity, authentication, or related areas. 
  • Proven track record of leading successful product initiatives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Strong analytical ability to demonstrate data to drive product decisions. 
  • Excellent communication and social skills, with the ability to influence partners at all levels of the organization. 
  • Deep empathy for users and a passion for creating safe and inclusive online communities. 
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile development environment. 
  • Familiarity with relevant tools and technologies used in trust and safety, such as content moderation systems, fraud detection algorithms, etc.

$180,000 - $200,000 a year
The salary range for this position is $180,000 - $200,000. Factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/training, job-related skills, internal peer equity, as well as market and business considerations may influence base pay offered. This salary range is reflective of a position based in Los Angeles, San Francisco, or Palo Alto, CA. This salary will be subject to a geographic adjustment (according to a specific city and state), if an authorization is granted to work outside of the location listed in this posting.
