Performs one or a number of tasks relating to the preparation and service of food our facility. The delivery and collection of food and supplies, the appropriate operation of machinery, and the sanitation of specific areas of the department.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• High School education preferred.
• Able to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Able to use simple math concepts.
• Good communication skills.
• Able to get along well with others.
• Possesses comprehensive knowledge of food preparation and handling technique. (required)
• Possesses general knowledge of food safety and sanitation.
• Able to work well independently given proper direction.
• Ability to work effectively as a team member (required)
• Positive attitude, patience and team mentality(required)

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Confer with Food Service Director/Chef on unusual problems.
• Complete food temperature checklists and log records.
• Food production, labeling/dating.
• Transport/serve food to residents.
• Food safety and sanitation.
• Complete preparation records and store food items properly at close of meal
