Massachusetts General Hospital is Hiring a Shuttle bus driver Near Boston, MA

GENERAL SUMMARY / OVERVIEW STATEMENT :

Drivers transport staff, patients and visitors of Massachusetts General Hospital,

Brigham & Women's Hospital and Partners Corporate offices on established routes throughout the Boston area.

Board and disembark from the vehicle

Part time drivers are needed for a growing shuttle bus service

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1) Obey all of the state and federal traffic laws while driving

2) Follow all PHS policies and procedures

3) Report unsafe and / or defective equipment immediately to supervisor

4) Report to supervisor any and all motor vehicle related "incidents" where : any property or motor vehicle sustained any damage whatsoever, any personal injury sustained by any employees or non-employee, any other situations that bear investigation should be discuss and reviewed by the safety committee (equipment problems, unsafe equipment, etc.)

SKILLS / ABILITIES / COMPETENCIES REQUIRED :

1) Current valid Massachusetts Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger endorsement and a clean, safe driving record.

2) At least 5 years of Professional driving experience.

3) Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

4) Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.

5) Ability to work both independently and as a team.

6) Must be at least 25 years of age.

LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, and / or REGISTRATIONS (if applicable) :

Massachusetts Commercial Drivers License (CDL) with passenger endorsement

EDUCATION

High School Diploma or Equivalency required

EXPERIENCE

At least 5 years of Professional driving experience

WORKING CONDITIONS

Outdoors including rain, snow or ice conditions
