At Georgetown University's McDonough School of Business , our mission is to build global business knowledge and inspire ethical leaders to serve the common good.
Job Overview
The Recruitment & Events Coordinator serves a vital role in the functioning of the McDonough Career Center's recruiting and networking activities with employers and alumni.
They directly support our career coaches for all employer/alumni and student recruitment and networking activities, which promote job and internship search and placement for all full-time and part-time McDonough graduate students.
As well, these activities also ensure that hundreds of employers. alumni, and recruiters are provided the highest level of service as they engage with our students.
Additionally, the Recruitment Coordinator supports all other operational functions for the entire McDonough Career Center, including day-to-day scheduling, support, and maintenance.
Work Interactions
Reporting directly to the Director of Operations, the Recruitment & Events Coordinator serves on the Operations Team, which supports all employer, recruiter, and student engagement activities for the McDonough Career Center.
They have primary responsibilities that include managing all on-campus and off-campus logistics for the recruiting process, collaborating and supporting the Career Coaches in their employer development and recruitment activities, supporting the Career Curriculum leads in their work with our students, and supporting front office management working with student workers and administrative support for the entire department.

Requirements and Qualifications
  • A 2 to 4 year college degree
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant professional experience - preference for experience as a recruiting or events coordinator in a higher education or corporate setting
  • Demonstrated administrative and/or event planning experience in a demanding environment
  • Computer and web literacy (Microsoft Office and Google Suite, including excellent skills in Excel/Sheets, Word/Docs, and PowerPoint/Slides)
  • Competence and high comfort level with learning new computer software, including the career management system - preference for McDonough Career View/12Twenty
  • Outstanding written, oral communication, and interpersonal skills
