 Summary / Purpose of Job: Martin Construction Resource an industry leader of Renewable Natural Gas systems. We offer complete system packages including engineering, construction, commissioning, and service. This position requires a diverse skill set and a willingness to learn and grow. Main duties include reviewing/ utilizing engineering drawings & electrical schematics, commissioning, troubleshooting, repair, and customer training for anerobic digester and RNG systems and components.

Candidates should be knowledgeable in process piping & basic industrial electricity, and ideally will have a familiarity with landfill or digester gas systems. Needs to be analytical and possess the skills to diagnose possible malfunctions remotely. Travel to jobsite locations throughout North America is a must.

Job Description

• Work in a safe manner, following company safety policies, on-site customer safety polices and regulatory policies.
• Help advise construction teams on proper installation requirements & development team of potential improvement opportunities.
• Lead commissioning activities & performance testing of equipment of active projects.
• Identify and repair problems with electrical and mechanical systems.
• Lead training activities for customer training.
• Accurately document services performed, and actions required.

Requirements

• Knowledge of welding, piping, and natural gas systems
• Knowledge of industrial controls, and troubleshooting through system analysis
• Ability to understand wiring diagrams, motors, transformers, and other electrical devices
• Ability to operate heavy excavation/ construction equipment.
• Ability to complete jobs assigned with little to no supervision.
• Must have strong customer service skills which includes both verbal and written communications.
• Ability and desire to participate in educational opportunities/training and reading technical and regulation publications.
• MUST have strong computer skills (MS Office, emails, typing, etc.)
• Regular to intermittent travel to project locations required (50%-66% travel is typical).

Preferred Requirements

• Basic knowledge of AC systems up to 600 VAC understand electrical fundamentals and safe work practices
• Basic knowledge of DC systems fundamentals and work practices
• Ability to use diagnostic software to identify and repair deficiencies
