Castle Rock Family Services is Hiring a Remote Associate Clinician (AMFT/ACSW) (hybrid remote)

Position Title: Associate Clinician, Hybrid (in office 2 days)/Remote (work from home 3 days)

Type: Hourly, Full Time maintaining a caseload of 28 clients per week plus 2-3 hours of supervision and note/admin time (typically working 40 hours per week)

Schedule/Hours: 2 days per week in office: sessions 10 am -6:00 pm, 3 days per week work from home sessions for 2 pm-8 pm. Supervision on Mondays 10 am, Triadic supervision Thursdays at 3:00 PM. Group supervision once a month 9 am-11 am. 2 units of supervision weekly. Admin/Note Time flexible hours 8 hours per week.

Pay: Completive with industry standards

Definition of Classification & Job Title:

Under supervision of a licensed clinician, associate clinician will provide culturally competent, strength-based, trauma informed mental health services. This position is responsible for conducting clinician intakes/assessments, diagnosis and treatment planning for people of all ages (4 years old). This clinician will be a generalist therapist meaning that they can work with all ages and utilize different modalities of treatment to best support the client. They will also be responsible for coordinating and providing medical necessity evaluation, case management, therapeutic services virtual and in person as well as inputting all information into a data base. This clinician is also responsible for attending and participating in weekly supervision with their supervisor per the BBS rules of conduct. This could include individual supervision, dual supervision, and group supervision. This could happen virtual or in person based on BBS rules and regulations.

Description of Duties:

· Represent the agency in a consistently professional manner, always modeling a commitment to the agency’s mission and values.

· Attend all required supervision, communicate with supervisor and keep up on documentation required for the BBS regarding your hours.

· Maintain confidentiality and HIPPA laws relating to client’s records of treatment.

· Conduct clinician assessments and assist clients in signed all required documentation for treatment.

· Writing a treatment plan, including a mental health diagnosis consistent with the DSM 5 and providing ethical and consent therapy for clients in accordance with the treatment plan and diagnosis.

· Provide client-focused, strength-based, culturally competent services at all times.

· Utilize a variety of treatment modalities that are within the clinician’s scope of competence to best serve clients and help them meet their treatment goals.

· Consult with supervisor and other clinical staff on cases as needed.

· Provide documentation that is consistent with insurance panel, Board of Behavioral Sciences and agency standards.

· Meet all required service provisions, as identified by insurance contracts, agency and BBS expectations.

· Maintain regular contacts with supervisor regarding client progress and future treatment planning.

· Maintain regular contact with clients and clients guardians (if minors) to make sure the client is getting support needed.

· Complete tasks and assignments (including notes and billing) in a timely manner.

· Maintain a caseload of up to 28 clients at any time. Actively manage caseload to ensure clients do not remain unseen or supported for long periods of time.

· Maintain billable rates consistent with number of clients on caseload.

· Demonstrate proficiency in utilized the electronic database for notes and billing.

· Other duties as assigned and discussed with supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Must have a master’s degree in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or related field. Must be registered with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences and in possession of a AMFT or ACSW number; and maintain active registration while employed.

Experience: At least two years of relevant mental health experience working with clients and providing therapy.

Knowledge of: Developmental stages through the life span, various therapeutic orientations including cognitive behavioral therapy, DSM 5, BBS regulations, law and ethics related to licensure and therapeutic note writing and billing.

Ability to: Gather clinical information, organize and write reports, diagnosis and write treatment plans. Express self clearly and concisely both orally and in writing; establish and maintain appropriate working relationships with others and present self professionally and punctually.

Technical skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, Power Point, etc.) and/or google drive (docs, spread sheet, slides, etc.). Ability to learn other software as requested/necessary. Ability to learn and efficiently use our medical records data base.

Condition of Employment: Employee shall be required to provide a T.B. clearance (checked every two years), submit fingerprints for Department of Justice Clearance, FBI and CACI. Employees must have a car, a valid driver’s license and proof of automobile insurance. Employees must demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with clients and co-works in a compassionate, non-discriminatory, non-judgmental manner. Position is an at-will position. Schedule is flexible and could include weekends and evening depending on clinician’s preference for hours. Minimum of 15 hours a week required.

Physical Demands: In order to perform job duties associated with this position, the employee is required to regularly use his/her hands to finger, handle, grasp object, tools and/or controls. The ability to talk, sit, stand, walk and hear well is necessary. The employee may also be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crawl or crouch. If school-based employee, they will also be required to walk on different campuses and lift objects such as therapy games/tools up to 25 pounds. Visual ability to judge distance, color, focus and see peripheral objects is also necessary. Psychical demands here are representative of those that must be met by every Castle Rock Family Services employee.
