Job Description Summary:
The 2nd shift Shipping Supervisor directs and supervises picking, packing and loading of orders for LTL and van shipments, maintains inventory control in the warehouse, and prioritizes finished goods movement. This position is responsible for productivity, quality, on time delivery, safety, and employee/labor relations within his/her department.
The position will supervise 30-35 hourly warehouse employees and drivers to make sure all items are picked, packed, and shipped on time while complying with company policy.
The position will be responsible to report safety, quality, delivery, and usage metrics to the Distribution Manager and identify and correct all issues that negatively affect these metrics.
This position will own the layout of the warehouse and packing areas and is empowered to make any changes required to meet productivity goals.
