Job Description Reporting to the Irvine Lead Discipleship Pastor, the Discipleship Pastor will be an equipping leader who builds and manages teams to ensure adults are growing together toward Christlikeness, biblical dependency, and gospel-centrality through community. As a vital member of the Discipleship Pastoral team, this person will have direct participation and oversight in the following areas:
New Believers: Manage and execute the "I Believe" follow-up process including orchestrating personal follow-up leading the New Believers course.
Baptisms: Manage and execute logistics for all Baptisms at Mainers IR.
General Pastoral Roles: Active shepherd's heart demonstrated in facilitating weddings, memorials, and congregational care and presence at all weekend services
Congregation Resourcing: Join the IR Discipleship pastor in resourcing Congregation Discipleship Pastors in the execution of "Grow Together" ministry strategies (Rooted, Life Groups, and Courses)
Hold and lead a portfolio of specific volunteer-led adult ministries including Singles and Sr. Adult Ministries in the execution of aligned "Grow Together" ministry strategies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required.
Prior adult ministry experience
Experience in recruiting and leading volunteers with a pastoral heart
Organized and administratively inclined
Obvious leadership skills and instincts
Team player
Proactive
Can implement and execute vision
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
