For Ed Castro Landscape to become the south's premier landscape design, construction, maintenance and horticultural services firm.
Position Purpose:
The position of Field Manager requires a thorough understanding of field employee strengths and weaknesses; client properties and day to day schedule. Responsible for guidance, training, quality control and communication to our team and clients. This position should promote and exemplify the standards set forth by Ed Castro Landscape. Review and inspect client accounts on a regular, scheduled basis. Identify any problems and facilitate resolutions. Work with the crews on site to improve their on-the-job knowledge and understanding of best practices. The Field Manager is an important link toward resolving crew inquiries and problems in a professional manner while also being a strong liaison and partner with Account Managers, Director and VP of Operations
Responsibilities:
•Ensure a safe environment for employees, clients and the general public.
•Plan daily job site tasks for crew and help develop weekly schedule.
•Manage the budgeted efficiencies including labor, material and parts usage, equipment, truck organization and maintenance needs.
•Review daily time (ICrewTek/Time Sheets) and GPS reports for maintenance crews and ensure all Standard Operating Procedures are followed.
•Maintain quality service standards of properties while maintaining budgeted hours.
•Close the loop by communicating completion/resolution of service requests and issues daily.
•Monitor and improve job quality through collaboration between Account Manager's and service teams.
•Develop strong working relationship with Account Managers and Supervisors.
•Develop and maintain scheduled property walks with Account Managers to ensure quality and service expectations are met.
•Hire/Evaluate/Train/Build teams and crew members to promote growth from within ECL ranks.
•Promote use of new landscape techniques, directives, technology and materials.
•Inventory tracking (hand tools, PPE, chemicals).
•Responsible as fill-in or support driver due to call-outs with no back-up driver.
•Central liaison to Fleet Manager for equipment issues, DOT's, PM process, equipment cleaning and mower blade rotations.
Reporting:
This position reports to Account Managers and Director of Maintenance
Ideal Candidate should have:
•Organization and time management skills.
•Experience with equipment service, operation, and minor repairs.
•Good written and verbal communication.
•Customer relations and communication skills.
•Problem solving from routing to client issues
•Knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office/Word/Excel/Outlook.
•Strong sense of urgency and eye for detail.
•Ability to process and prioritize multiple demands and requests.
•Plant material identification and use.
•Plant, turf, insect and disease ID.
•Excellent driving record.
Education Requirements:
BS / BA college degree in a related field or five years related landscape management experience.. The Maintenance Field Manager will show willingness and capability of continuing education through workshops, classes, and professional memberships.
