Maravai LifeSciences is seeking a #MiracleMaker to join our Engineeringteam as a Supervisor, Equipment Engineering. As a Supervisor, Equipment Engineering you will be overseeing a group of technical personnel supporting analytical and manufacturing equipment. We're seeking an experienced candidate to work cross-functionally and lead proactive efforts related to equipment lifecycle, validation, and overall equipment reliability, supporting R&D, Manufacturing, and QC workflows. This role will work closely with Manufacturing, Quality, R&D, IT, and external service providers to develop, improve, and sustain production, helping TriLink take the next steps forward in our growth cycle.

How you will make an impact:

• Using your experience and desire to continually learn, assign, and enable your team to support laboratory-scale and full-scale equipment systems in preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, and calibration
• Work with Computer Maintenance Management Systems to create, assign, execute, and close work orders, populate data, mine equipment information, and related tasks
• Work with individual team members to develop their skills and help them advance to the next level
• Work within a GMP environment, performing duties such as using document management systems, retrieving and routing documents for GMP review and approval, and managing change control processes
• Work with facility/utility systems supporting laboratories, like Clean Dry Air, gases, vacuum, solvent systems, power, and lighting
• Work with laboratory and manufacturing equipment, such as HPLC equipment, spectrophotometers, mass spectrometers, rotary evaporators, filtration equipment, etc
• Create and revise Standard Operating Procedures associated with workflow and complex equipment
• Able to train personnel in areas of expertise
• Can lead small to medium projects of varying scope
• Handle escalations from departments and prioritize work accordingly
• Perform administrative duties such as timecard management, goal management, employee feedback, employee reviews, leading and attending meetings, etc
• Perform other functions and duties as required

The skills and experience that you will bring:

• BS in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, and Mechanical Engineering is highly preferred
• A minimum of four years of experience in an industrial setting or 8 years of experience in a closely related field preferred
• Finds satisfaction in helping a team accomplish near- and long-term goals and objectives.
• Good data analysis skills and a logical problem-solving approach are necessary.
• Familiarity with organic chemistry, chromatography nucleoside/nucleotide chemistry, oligo synthesis desirable.
• Strong understanding of statistics.
• Experience in manufacturing/analytical equipment support/sustaining.
• Familiarity with various analytical/manufacturing/laboratory equipment and building utilities.
• Experienced with project management and leading and inspiring personnel.
• Experience working within a GMP environment, favoring 21CFR210 and 211.
• Experience with GMP change control processes, documented testing protocols, commissioning, and validation.
• Experience with Computer Maintenance Management Systems, preferably eMaint and document management systems.
• Strong organizational skills are a must.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a must.
• Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a must.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $98,000 - $108,000. In addition, highly competitive long-term incentives in the form of company equity, bonus participation and company sponsored benefits are provided as part of the total compensation package. The salary offer will depend on multiple factors which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience and other qualifications, as well as the location of the role.
