Job Description:


WORK SCHEDULE

40 hours per week. May be required to work overtime hours as needed to complete assignment or project. May require flexible work schedule.

SUMMARY

This position will be responsible for maintaining awareness of ongoing Science and Technology (S&T) endeavors and resultant technologies for integration of the most recent and relevant information into its evaluations, analyses and activities in support of the Marine Corps Warfighting Laboratory/Futures Directorate (MCWL/FD).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Reinforce communication, integration, and process innovation.
  • Aid in increasing the speed of the command decision cycle.
  • Foster operationalized information and knowledge sharing.
  • Determine processes and procedures to satisfy Information Exchange Requirements.
  • Develop, review, and knowledge exchange requirements, procedures, and processes.
  • Develop and maintain the information vehicle (Sharepoint) and other outreach methods.
  • Upload required information to Sharepoint site and other outreach methods.
  • Provide information, knowledge, social media, SharePoint, shared-drive management.
  • Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Frequent sitting, using hands/fingers, handling, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and seeing up close, at a distance, along the periphery, with depth perception and the ability to adjust focus; occasional walking or standing, occasional lifting of up to 30 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT

Work is performed primarily in an office setting and occasionally in a trade show environment. May be exposed to sharp objects, some heat, loud noise, chemicals and vibration. Use of personal protective equipment is mandatory. Employee will be exposed to a wide variety of people in differing functions, personalities and abilities.

Travel to other government facilities or other contractor facilities may be required within the local vicinity. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required. The exact dates and duration of travel will vary dependent upon location and requirements of individual experiments or events to include planning, attendance at meetings, conferences or wargames.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Civilian Education: Bachelor's degree preferred in Administration.
  • Military Education: Commensurate to experience.
  • Must possess comprehensive knowledge of the Marine Corps, its missions, force structure, warfighting concepts, tactics, techniques, procedures, doctrine. In addition, must possess a working knowledge of the Marine Corps Warfighting Concepts and the combat development process.
  • Must obtain and maintain a valid secret security clearance.

SPECIAL SKILLS

  • Must have an intermediate knowledge of the Microsoft office suite.
  • Excellent oral and written communications skills.
  • Must be able to work independently with little or no supervision, be exceedingly well organized, flexible.
  • Strong organizational skills and detail oriented.
  • Ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform diverse duties under operating and deadline constraints.
  • Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; monitors own work to ensure quality.

REQUIRED TRAINING

  • Completion of the Defense Acquisition University (DAU) Fundamentals of Acquisition Managements (ACQ 101 or an equivalent course) is mandatory.
  • All training certification and associated skill sets listed below as required to accomplish task requirements: (1) MS Active Directory support; (2) Security certification - CompTIA or DoD required industry standard equivalent; (3) Familiarization with network; design, installation, monitoring and repair using test equipment; (4) Supporting PKI and MS Outlook; (5) Support for cellular service; (6) Supporting LAN-based video teleconferencing (VTC); and (7) Supporting Windows XP and Windows Server 2003.
