Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift to move, locate, relocate, stack, and count merchandise within the warehouse.
Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a forklift to transport materials around the warehouse
- Load and unload materials from trucks or containers
- Perform routine equipment maintenance and repair as needed
- Utilize equipment such as cherry pickers, Hi-Lo, and pallet jacks
- Assist with warehouse management tasks as required
- Handle materials with care to prevent damage during transport
- Operate order pickers to fulfill customer orders accurately
Requirements:
MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVERS LICENSE
MUST HAVE A HIGH SCHOOL DIPLOMA / GED
- Proven experience as a Forklift Operator or similar role
- Proficiency in basic math skills for inventory counts and order picking
- Familiarity with various types of forklifts including Hi-Lo and cherry pickers
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling materials
- Knowledge of warehouse safety regulations and procedures
- Experience with warehouse management or supervision is a plus
