As a critical member of the Manufacturing Engineering team, the Senior Manufacturing Engineer will rely on their strong personal initiative to lead projects, mentor more junior staff members, and represent Operations in cross-departmental projects and collaboration efforts. Their success will be validated by their effective and efficient cross-departmental communication and collaboration resulting in waste and variation reduction, and the timely closure of assignments. Their primary responsibilities include the development and support of production flow, assembly methods, test sequences, and the overall processes required to produce our highly complex electronic assemblies. Additionally, Manufacturing Engineering implements NPI’s into production, drives Manufacturing Process Improvements, supports Lean / Continuous Improvement Programs, and provides engineering support to the Production team for sustaining and line-down issues. There is a strong emphasis on minimizing issues in Production through prevention, risk mitigation, and resolving problems through lasting root cause corrective action methods.
