AVENU™ is looking for a Software Engineering Intern who is highly motivated, responsible and a detail oriented team player to join our team.
Role:
The Intern will work with the development team to maintain and develop and test API services. Must have a strong interest in software development and the initiative and aptitude for hands-on problem solving and troubleshooting. Interact with members of the development team to understand the current system, subsystems, and component specifications.
This will be for 8 weeks from Monday June 3rd - Friday July 26th 2024 Or Monday June 10th - Friday August 2nd 2024
Basic Qualifications

• Current college rising juniors or seniors working toward a Bachelor's degree in computer science or software engineering (or in a relevant field)
• One or more years of related software development experience.
• Experience with Spring Boot, Java
• Experience with Database concepts, Sql, ksql
• JUnit testing
• Strong problem solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, Agile environment

Requirements
Requirements:

• This is an In-Person position based in Sterling, VA office.
• Experience supporting Cloud/SaaS software products and APIs is highly coveted
• Developing software using languages such as Java, Python
• Applied knowledge of Object-Oriented programming concepts (OOPS) Micro services Operating Systems and concept UML
• Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL
• Familiarity with working in an Agile environment
• Have direct experience with services and technologies like Google Cloud Platform, Jira, , Confluence, GitHub.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Excellent organizational, time management skills.
