Mainspring Energy is seeking a smart and energetic individual with a proven track record of managing and successfully delivering customer facing projects. The projects you will be responsible for are “first of a kind” customer projects where Mainspring is delivering generators to be used in a new application or adding a new feature that needs to be developed and validated to meet the specific customer need.
At any given time, depending on the size of the projects, you will own multiple projects, at different stages, and have to balance your time as well as the supporting teams to successfully deliver all projects.
You will be bringing many different teams together in this role; engaging and leading Engineering teams to deliver new features and drive technical problem solving, work with Product Management and Project Installation teams to understand customer requirements and translate that to project specifications, collaborate with Test Engineering and Field Support teams to validate that technical specifications are met.
By delivering successful projects and keeping our Customers satisfied you are enabling Mainspring Energy to continue to grow our customer base and deliver local generation of clean, and dispatchable energy.
As a Sr Staff Technical Project Manager, you will be responsible for project management and successful delivery of generators to customers that are “first of a kind“. These projects are either adding new features to the generator or are using the generators in a new application.

- Overall ownership of the project from start to finish and day-to-day management thereof.
- Coordinating with team members, other departments, external contractors, and customers to achieve project objectives.
- Ensuring that designs, processes, and outcomes meet the required standards, regulations, and specifications.
- Handling detailed technical problems and decision-making within the scope of the project.
- Evaluate, manage and communicate risks of the projects.
- Capture closed loop learning and globalize improvements.
- Being accountable for the success of the project, including quality, timelines, and budget adherence.
- 10 years working as a project/program manager or lead engineer with a track record of successfully managing several projects and/or programs from start to finish.
- Skilled verbal and formal communication and interest to work with all teams and levels inside and outside of the organization.
- Highly organized, attention to detail, with ability to plan and drive execution of projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Desire to work on customer facing projects with tight deadlines.
- Engineering background in electrical, applications, controls or relevant engineering fields is preferable.
