Job Description:

Medical professional who studies, diagnoses and treats illness, injuries and other ailments.

Must have knowledge of medical ethics, human anatomy, pharmacology and other specialties depending on their field.

Physician will provide preventative care, detect developing health problems and give advice to help patients develop healthy habits.

Physicians are also known as doctors or medical practitioners.

Required Certifications:

Board Certification: Must be board certified/board eligible gastroenterologist by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

Currently certified in basic life support (BLS) or advanced cardiac life support (ACLS) or equivalency.

Working Hours:

Regular hours Monday through Friday 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

Weeknight call - Monday/Friday 4:30 PM to 8 AM (if required).

On-call contractor's physician(s) must always be available for phone consultations with VA residence and Physicians

*This is a 2 year contract with option to extend for additional 3 years.
