Job: Drafter
Classification: Non-exempt
Schedule: 10-hour shift, Monday – Thursday. Overtime as assigned.
Job summary: This position will use specifications to create detailed drawings for utility bodies.
Responsibilities: Uses computer-aided drafting (CAD) and Solid works software to create full-scale and detailed designs of utility bodies. Organizes structural, electrical, and mechanical designs. Draws plans for utility boxes pertaining to vendors specs. Determines the types of materials needed and calculates the quantity to be ordered. Performs other duties as assigned.
Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills. Extensive knowledge of software and drafting tools. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Physical requirements: Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk. Must be able to lift up to 15 lbs. at times.
