Lyrba USA is Hiring a Quality Control Lab Technician Near Conroe, TX

Lyrba USA, a sustainable and socially responsible plastics processing company, with a brand-new state of the art food grade PET sheet production site that utilizes 100% post-consumer material as its feed source.Position SummaryThe Quality Control Lab Technician will be responsible for testing and measuring raw materials, finished goods, and in process quality.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITES

  • Receiving, labeling, and storing samples to be tested
  • Determining and performing tests needed for the analysis and report 
  • Recording tests and analyses and maintaining equipment records and daily work logs.
  • Maintain lab supplies and equipment, including recalibration of equipment.
  • General housekeeping of the lab to include but not limited to sweeping, mopping, cleaning work area and taking out the trash.
  • All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
  • High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) preferred. 
  • One to two years of experience working in a plastics manufacturing preferred.
  • Able to use computer systems, Windows operating systems experience preferred
  • English language communication both spoken and written.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
  • Able to work with fractions and decimals, MM and inches.
  • Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
  • Able to gather and analyze information skillfully.
  • Able to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
  • Excellent spelling, grammar, and written communication skills.
  • Able to lift, push, or pull up to 50 pounds Able to walk, stand, sit for extended periods.
  • Able to able to handle extreme heat/cool weather operations.
  • Available for flexible working hours/rotating shifts/overtime if needed.
  • Able to work in a diverse, team-oriented environment yet still be able to think independently.
  • Able to follow both written and spoken work instructions.
  • Strong work ethic and professional demeanor.
