Job Summary:

Lyn-Lake Psychotherapy and Wellness, Ltd. DBA LynLake Centers for WellBeing is a thriving Group Psychotherapy and Wellness Practice in the Twin Cities with a diverse team of multidisciplinary professionals. We are seeking a Board-Certified Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) who is either trained in sublingual/oral administration of ketamine or willing to partake in an on-site, comprehensive medical training with a Board certified physician for sublingual/oral administration and

intramuscular injection.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct Health Histories: Assess and diagnose mental health, psychiatric concerns and develop personalized treatment plans.
  • Screen and refer for physical health factors that may be complicating psychiatric diagnoses.
  • Educate patients on treatment options, potential risks and benefits of ketamine therapy.
  • Administer ketamine treatments and monitor/assess patients during and after the treatment.
  • Provide emotional support to patients throughout their treatment journey.
  • Coordinate care with the medical team and other treatment professionals, including psychotherapists, dietitians, licensed alcohol and drug counselors, primary care physicians, and specialists, if necessary, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
  • Provide services on-site, in-person.
  • Protect patient and team member privacy, understand and follow principles and standards related to confidentiality, HIPAA, and professional code(s) of conduct.
  • Stay updated with the latest developments in Ketamine therapy.
  • Malpractice Insurance Coverage which specifically states that Ketamine Therapy is included in the coverage.
Requirements:

Education and Certifications:

  • Master’s degree in nursing (MSN)
  • Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP), Adult Psychiatric and Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) provider
  • Fully credentialed as a CNP, PMHNP-BC in Minnesota
  • Current and fully licensed in MN and in good standing with MN Board of Nursing

Work Experience:

  • Candidates must have at least one year of mental health experience as a PMHNP
  • Training in Psychedelics Medicine/Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy
  • Trained to evaluate, diagnose, and treat mental health concerns across the lifespan, specifically clients 18 years old and over.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Prior provision of psychiatric medicine from a trauma-informed lens.
  • Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 to provide in-person services.
  • Holistic, relational, inclusive, strengths-based approach to patient care.
  • Anti-racist and LGBTQ affirming: Preferred background includes Social Justice & Diversity Training.
  • Proficient use of electronic health record (EHR) programs and practices.
  • In-person sessions, minimum 8-10 direct client care hours/week.
  • Timely and effective completion of mental health diagnostic assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, discharge summaries, and required forms and documents related to psychiatric care and electronic record keeping.
  • Demonstration of full compliance with legal, regulatory, ethical, accrediting, licensing, and procedural requirements related to professional practice and consistent with the highest standards of care.

COVID-19 considerations: All providers who offer in-person sessions must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19. All clients who attend in-person sessions must be fully vaccinated, as eligible, against COVID-19. Additional precautions taken (sanitization, masks, social distancing).

We have fifteen beautiful office locations in Minneapolis and St. Paul and are actively seeking a permanent home for our KAP program.

Salary: Up to $200.00 per hour
