An established gastroenterology practice in Orlando, FL is seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This is a full-time, permanent role, Monday-Thursday 8am-5pm and Friday 8am-12pm. Candidates with gastroenterology experience will be considered first.
*Responsibilities:*
* Full-time permanent position
* In-office only
* No hospital call
* 14-18 patients per day
* Examine, diagnose, and coordinate treatment plans for patients with acute illnesses and exacerbations of chronic disease (under the supervision of physicians)
* Order, interpret, and make diagnoses of lab tests and imaging scans
* Record progress notes, instruct and counsel patients, and modify treatment plans as needed
* Write/refill prescriptions appropriate for diagnosis
* Review patient results, including pathology
* Document patient information in eClinicalWorks in a timely manner
*Qualifications:*
* Active PA or NP Florida State License
* Knowledge of gastroenterology treatments and terminology
* Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
* Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities effectively
* Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems
* Bilingual in (English/Spanish) preferred
