TEKsystems is looking for a Network Engineer to support a Navy program. All candidates must have a Secret Clearance and be 8570 compliant. Candidates qualified for this role must have exposure to a variety of Cisco products. This position sits has to sit near a Navy base as this is a Hybrid role. All Engineers will need to be able to sit at one of the bases below. All candidates must know that they will be required to be onsite at least 3 days a week and when they are doing deployments it can be 5 days a week. Pearl Harbor – Naval Station Pearl Harbor Our customer is getting ready to deploy two new Network Node Monitoring tools. This will be the engineer that will be building the solution to get ready for deployment. We are looking for Strong Network Engineers that have been exposed to a wide variety of Cisco tools and have done work on Network Node Manager, network scout etc. They will be coming on to the team to help get them deployed. - Hands-on experience with a variety of network and systems management tools such as Network Automation, Network Node Manager, NetScout, Cisco DNAC, Cisco ISE
- Provide review/input on project activities for large enterprise or global level projects
- Collaborates with the project manager to develop detailed project plans and work breakdown structures for large enterprise or global level projects.
- 5 or more years of experience in systems planning, operations, architectures and management, network management, application development and monitoring.
- A plus if they have experience with Kubernetes and Vertica Database deployments
- A plus if they Experience implementing a continuous integration (CI) or continuous development (CD) pipeline.
- Experience with automation technologies like Ansible , PostgreSQL, Python, YAML, PowerShell and network device automation. These are life of contract positions so they can plan on the work to keep coming in for the tools team. These engineers will be working with the Network Design team who will be working on the design for these projects and will be working with operations side on installation and deployment. Candidates must have excellent documentation skills as there is a good part of this role that will be documentation of what is in the environment.
